
NEW DELHI: The Covid-19 has hit the IPL for the first time in the 16th edition of the cash-rich league after former India opener Aakash Chopra has tested positive for the virus.
The 45-year old Chopra is doing commentary in the ongoing tournament and is part of digital broadcasters’ commentary panel for IPL 2023.

“Caught and Bowled Covid. Yups…the C Virus has struck again. Really mild symptoms … all under control,” Chopra tweeted on Tuesday to give an update about his health.
“Will be away from the commentary duties for a few days, hoping to come back stronger #TataIPL,” Chopra added.

The league has returned to its traditional home and away format this season after a three-year gap.
